Peyronies Disease

Having an abnormal curvature of the penis can be a problem in many men. It otherwise known as Peyronie's disease and affects 1-4% of all men. There are no known cause of the disease and pain is often felt in the initial stages of the disease. Usually, it resolves 20 to 18 months after onset. Most disheartening of all, it could make your penis smaller and narrower.

As a result, it can make sexual intercourse more difficult because it is painful to stretch and straighten the penis. It is commonly occurs in white men over the age of 40 and only occurs in the penis and not in any other body part. It has been suggested that it has a genetic component to the disease and is not contagious. Never  straighten and stretch your penis without any advice or reading anything because it may cause serious injury to yourself and may actually increase the curvature of the condition.

Traction devices have approximately 33% success rate. However, the usage of these devices can actually cause a lot of damage to your penis if you're not careful enough. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions. Surgery should only be considered for exceptional cases and as a last resort. It should be performed by only skilled urological surgeons with some experience with corrective surgical techniques. Do not go to your local/general plastic surgeon because special knowledge is needed for these type of operations. The main thing to remember, to avoid health problems consult the doctor, who will pick up  health drugs that could be ordered online..

Exercises are a great and natural way in improving your length and make your penis straighter. These exercises are needed to be performed daily and dramatic results should appear after a few weeks.

Peyronies disease is a condition that occurs in one percent of the male population. It usually affects men between 45 and 60 years old, but it is also common in younger men as well. The first sign of Peyronies disease is a curvature of the penis that is especially visible during the erect state and it is often accompanied by pain. The bend can appear in the upper section or bottom of the penile shaft. Other signs of Peyronies disease include a lump on the shaft of the penis and length loss.

The causes of Peyronies disease are not yet clear, but researchers believe that factors such as genetics, diabetes, injury or trauma to the penis, Vitamin E deficiency or various infections are involved. Recent research seems to sustain the theory that Peyronies disease is caused by injury due to bending of the penis during a sexual act. The injury heals abnormally and it causes scars. However, this is only a theory and there is no solid evidence to back it up yet.

Most men are too embarrassed to go to a doctor when they discover the first signs and symptoms of Peyronies disease. There are many forms of Peyronies disease, from the mildest to the most severe. In severe cases, Peyronies disease can cause problems that vary the inability to sustain a rigid erection to impotence.

Peyronies disease can have severe consequences on the patient’s sexual life. Many men that suffer from Peyronies disease are unable to sustain normal sexual relationships because of the pain associated with this condition or the fact that they cannot sustain rigid erection. Consequently, Peyronies disease is now considered an erectile dysfunction.

Most traditional treatments for Peyronies disease only hide the symptoms of this condition. That is why many people argue that Peyronies disease cannot be really cured. Most urologists recommend their patients to wait several months to see if their condition does not improve naturally. However, this approach can be harmful. Studies have shown that only a small amount of patients with Peyronies disease get better naturally. For most of them, this condition gets chronic and, in some cases, it can lead to impotence and other erectile dysfunctions.
